How it works

From the box to the map in three steps

    Order

    Choose your tracker and send the short order form. We call you to confirm your order and arrange payment and delivery.

  2. 2

    Plug in

    Push a plug-in tracker into the OBD-II socket of your car. It takes about a minute and needs no tools. Hidden and Fleet are wired in by an auto-electrician.

  3. 3

    Scan the card

    Scan the QR code on the card in the box with your phone, create your account, and see your car in the app.

Hidden costs least because a fitter is paid separately. Plug costs more because you fit it yourself in a minute. Plug+ adds Car health. Fleet is for companies with several vehicles.

Straight answers

How do I order and pay?

Choose your tracker and send the short order form. We call you to confirm your order and arrange payment and delivery. You pay nothing on the website.

Does it need a SIM?

No. The SIM is already inside the tracker, with its mobile data, and your first year is included. There is nothing to set up with a phone company.

What does renewal cost?

After the first year it costs AED 299 a year for Hidden, AED 299 for Plug, AED 399 for Plug+ (Car health is included) and AED 299 per vehicle for Fleet. We write to you before your year ends with how to renew.

Will it fit my car?

Plug and Plug+ fit most cars made since about 2008 that have an OBD-II socket. It is usually under the dashboard, near the steering wheel. Not sure? Write to us with your car’s make, model and year before you order. Hidden and Fleet are wired in by an auto-electrician, so they suit any vehicle the electrician can wire.

Can a thief take it out?

Plug and Plug+ sit in the OBD-II socket, where someone who finds them can pull them out. If that happens you get an alert, because a built-in backup battery tells the app the tracker was unplugged. Hidden and Fleet are fitted out of sight, so a thief cannot find them and pull them out.

Who can see my car?

Only you. UB Trax staff cannot see where your car is, and you can delete your account from the app. In a company account, only the people the company adds can see its vehicles.

Can I move it to another car?

Plug and Plug+: yes, at any time. Unplug it, plug it into the other car and change the car’s details in the app. Hidden and Fleet stay in the car they are fitted to, so moving one needs an auto-electrician again.

What if I sell the car?

Take the tracker out before you hand the car over, so that the new owner is not tracked. A plug-in tracker comes out in seconds; for Hidden and Fleet ask your auto-electrician. You can then use it in your next car, or delete your account from the app.

Write to support@ubtrax.com from the address on your account, and include the plate number of your car. We reply within one working day.
